SAP Functional Consultant
We are currently hiring an SAP Functional Consultant to support one of our federal clients on-site in Chantilly, Virginia. This role requires an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively in a team environment and possess the desire and aptitude to learn and apply new concepts in enterprise software, particularly SAP S/4HANA. This role is part of a broader team implementing, configuring, and maintaining SAP solutions. As a functional consultant, you will work closely with customer end-users and technical teams to translate business processes into requirements for configuration, development, and integration. This position can be supported as full-time work or 1099 independent.
In this position, you can expect to:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical and functional requirements for SAP solutions.
- Configure and customize SAP modules to meet client-specific requirements.
- Design and implement new functionality or enhance existing processes within the SAP ecosystem.
- Gather and analyze requirements to design or optimize workflows to improve user experience.
- Work with developers and subject matter experts to establish a technical vision and balance usability, performance, and scalability.
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Provide guidance on SAP S/4HANA best practices and system capabilities.
- Create documentation such as functional specifications, test scripts, user guides, and training materials.
- Perform functional testing and support quality assurance efforts to ensure solutions meet client needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues and provide ongoing support to end-users.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in configuring and implementing SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Finance, Logistics, or Supply Chain).
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA capabilities, integration points, and data migration strategies.
- Experience with requirements gathering, functional design, and process improvement.
- Proficiency in SAP tools and platforms, including Fiori, ABAP (basic understanding), and Solution Manager.
- Experience with system integration principles and database management.
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prior experience with enterprise software implementations or cloud applications.
