Our mission is to empower our clients and employees to realize their potential, achieve amazing results, and advance the mission of our Federal Government. We do this by providing an environment that fosters growth, innovation, collaboration, and delivery excellence.

We’re looking for a dynamic and hands-on People Operations Leader to oversee and elevate all aspects of our people strategy, from building high-performing teams to refining employee experience across the lifecycle. This is a leadership role with a strong execution component. You'll be at the center of our growth, working side-by-side with executive leadership to shape the culture and structure of the company as we scale. This is a primarily remote position, but the ideal candidate will have the ability to work in person with our team at least one day per week at our Tysons Corner, VA office, with occasional local travel for team meetings or events as needed.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Lead the People Operations function, including employee onboarding, HR systems and compliance, benefits administration, and organizational development.
  • Partner closely with company leadership and hiring managers to identify talent needs, define roles, and execute recruitment strategies that build high-impact teams.
  • Own and refine processes across the employee lifecycle: onboarding, performance management, feedback, compensation, and offboarding.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and trusted resource to managers and staff on all things people-related, including performance, development, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Manage HR tools, systems, and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze data and trends to inform people strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Champion a connected culture across a hybrid and geographically dispersed workforce, ensuring strong communication, cohesion, and alignment across teams.
  • Lead meaningful engagement efforts that build trust, strengthen team identity, and reinforce the values that make BridgePhase a great place to work.

As with any growing organization, exact role responsibilities will evolve with changing needs. We are looking for a versatile candidate who thrives on new challenges and can readily adapt to additional responsibilities beyond those listed above.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience, including leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in building, leading, and mentoring people teams in fast-paced, growing organizations.
  • Proven experience managing people-focused initiatives at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Strong working knowledge of employee benefits administration, including open enrollment, 401(k), FSA/HSA, and wellness programs.
  • Familiarity with Paid Family Leave (PFL) laws and compliance requirements across multiple states (e.g., CA, NY, MA)
  • Experience overseeing workplace policies related to PTO, sick leave, FMLA, and accommodations.
  • Strong understanding of OFCCP, AAP, and EEO compliance, including experience with annual reporting and audit preparedness
  • Proven ability to oversee and manage I-9 form completion and other employment eligibility documentation in compliance with federal regulations
  • Experience maintaining comprehensive employee records and ensuring timely, accurate completion of all required HR documentation
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
  • Experience supporting teams in government contracting or professional services environments.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certifications a plus.
  • US Citizenship required due to client requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

While we've outlined our ideal candidate, we recognize that talent comes in many forms. If you possess strong organizational skills, a passion for helping others, and a drive to learn and grow, we strongly encourage you to apply.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
