We are currently seeking talented Kubernetes Platform Engineers to support the U.S. Air Force Platform One. Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, Platform One is a modern cloud-era platform that provides valuable tooling, hosts CI/CD DevSecOps pipelines, and offers a secure Kubernetes platform for hosting microservices. In this role, you'll focus on Kubernetes platform engineering. The ideal BridgePhase team member will be proficient in Kubernetes platforms, DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure automation, troubleshooting networks and software systems, and software engineering. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to propose process improvements are essential.


In this position, you can expect to:
  • Expand the Big Bang product intergration with open-source projects (FluxCD, Istio, Kyverno, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Improve Kubernetes cluster security and integrate platform observability tools.
  • Automate and support Big Bang product releases and upgrades.
  • Develop features in Go for the Big Bang CLI tool.
  • Maintain Kubernetes cluster infrastructure and Helm/Kustomize templates.
  • Write test automation using Cypress framework.
  • Develop and optimize CI pipelines and support GitLab CI runner infrastructure.
  • Use Terraform or other IaC tools for provisioning AWS resources.
  • Create custom developer portals using projects such as Backstage.io or Crossplane.
  • Develop Big Bang Edge for Big Bang deployments to edge network devices.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot O/S, infrastructure, platform, network, and software issues.
As with any technical environment, the exact role responsibilities will evolve with the changing needs of our client. We are looking for versatile engineers who thrive on new challenges and can readily adapt to additional responsibilities beyond those listed above.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
  • Software Engineering experience.
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code.
  • Expertise with containerization and container orchestration technologies. (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Linux. Comfortable working in a terminal.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity, networking concepts, and cloud infrastructure. (preferably AWS)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • U.S. Citizen, eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance per government client requirements.
  • Willing to travel annually to San Antonio, TX or Colorado Springs, CO
